ChatGPT integration privacy notice

Effective October 17, 2026. This notice covers the Stylome MCP service at mcp.stylome.io. The website privacy notice covers separate use of stylome.io.

What we process and why

When you ask for a scan, ChatGPT sends the passage you selected. We process it to classify writing patterns and return the result. Do not submit passwords, API keys, payment-card data, government identifiers, protected health information, or other sensitive personal records.

OpenAI supplies an anonymized user identifier in request metadata. We transform it into a one-way keyed identifier that changes each UTC day. We store that daily identifier, the UTC date, and successful/reserved scan and attempt counts to enforce the daily allowance and prevent abuse. We do not store the original identifier, conversation identifiers, organization identifiers, location hints, or user-agent hints.

Recipients and storage

Google Cloud hosts the MCP service. Our private RunPod inference service processes the selected text. OpenAI receives the tool result to answer your request and applies its own privacy policy to your ChatGPT conversation.

The MCP service does not write submitted text, content hashes, or classifier results to logs, caches, receipts, or a database. Text and results exist in memory during processing. Daily cleanup removes quota records older than the previous UTC day, including SQLite free pages and write-ahead logs. Infrastructure can retain operational service-health and error events without submitted text or raw user identifiers; network providers process connection metadata to deliver and protect the service.

Your choices

Choose which passage to send. Using benchmark lookups does not require a scan or consume your scan allowance. Stop using or disconnect the plugin at any time. This integration does not use submitted passages for model training, advertising, or profiling. We do not sell personal data. Because raw identifiers and text are not retained, we cannot retrieve past scan content; daily quota records expire automatically.

Contact support@stylome.io for privacy questions or applicable data-rights requests. Do not email sensitive passages or credentials.
